Alternative Dwelling Unit (also known as a “Granny Flat” or a “second Home” on your property) and Jr. ADU (also known as In-Law Quarters)
ADU (Alternative Dwelling Unit)
In most counties in the state of California you can add an ADU to your property for long term rental purposes, have a family member live with you but in their own space or a care takers quarters. In many counties an ADU can be up to 1200 sq ft, but in other areas it may be a bit smaller.
A Jr. ADU is attached to the main dwelling, has it’s own entrance, it is limited to 500 sq ft, and has it’s own kitchen.
Both the ADU and the Jr. ADU can provide extra rental income for the homeowner while providing affordable housing for others. Contact us for additional information, and take a look at the sample floorplans below, Click on the one you like for more pictures.
